Brain
The presentation by Dr. Maldonado was very interesting because it was around the brain of various animals and how it differs from the human brain. In addition there was myths surrounding this complex structure.
There are many myths surrounding the brain and something caught my eye is the shape and size according to species. For example the human brain is smaller than the dolphin, but no dolphins are more intelligent than man. Something that if you have to recognize is that the dolphin in animal species is very intelligent. Instead the brain of a squirrel in addition to being small is quite complex without a lot of grooves and a very smooth bark.
There is also difference between the brains of men and the brains of woman. Women to perform a complex activity that is used only three sections of the brain and both sides of this. While active man four sections, but on one side of the brain.
Making a comparison between the human brain and a computer if it is valid, because the computer is complex and can perform tasks and store information for a long time, but there are certain things that are unique to the brain and process information that may be delayed minutes while the computer just one second and also the brain is flexible or adapt to situations while the computer is reliable but is rigid.
The presentation made by Dr. Maldonado struck me as very good and that he not only taught a class but how to deliver knowledge was a dynamic and close for us to ask questions related to the topic or answer questions that arose . Also always good to know a little more structure to the surrounding myths and is so complex.
This presentation helped me to understand how men and women work and also to understand that the brain is unique and although there are objects that attempt to assimilate technology is almost impossible.
