BLOG 4 : STRESS


Stress is a natural body response to facts that can be threatening. When the answer is given over an overload of stress affects the body and causes the appearance of diseases that prevent the normal development and functioning of the body.

The causes of stress are related to physiological diseases and injuries of the body, relating psychological to emotional and cognitive vulnerability and environmental are food, workplaces with poor security, disasters and so on.

Today it is fashionable to stress ... the hectic life, competitiveness in the world of work and little time for activities every day makes people join STRESS! The incidence of women with stress in Chile is 62.30% and men is 43.90% of the population ... but it is very difficult to determine exact figures.
The most common symptoms of stress are: depression, anxiety, headache, insomnia, indigestion, skin disorders, sexual dysfunction, increased heart rate, diarrhea or constipation, but should be persistent over time.

As every disease has consequences and can be divided into psychological and physical. The most common are: Anxiety, depression, pain, constipation or diarrhea, respiratory problems and heart problems.

Health professionals such as psychologists, psychiatrists and social workers manage stress recommend trying to find positive things, planning fun activities and resting. Good choices in physical activity outdoors, eating well, incorporating fruits and lots of proper meals, hanging out with people close and not keep friends, listening to music, practice yoga or meditation, listening to the body when I tell him to slow down or take a break. Good sleep habits are one of the best ways to manage stress.
